The fate of the country’s media is set to take a decisive turn today, when the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (Cran) meets with members of the public to discuss its proposed Broadcasting Code.
The code, provided for under the country’s new Communications Act, has been met with reservations by local media practitioners, who have customarily been allowed to operate under self-rule.
