Okahandja exploded with anger yesterday as community members, led by pensioners, blocked the entrance to the municipality building and scuffled with police officers armed with pepper spray.
Okahandja Mayor Valerie Aron described the demonstration as a “tribal witch-hunt” against her, championed by Okahandja Constituency Councillor Steve Biko Boois.
When Namibian Sun arrived, elderly people were sitting in front of the municipality while others sang songs and chanted.
