Mbuende was a legend - music gurus

Local players in the music industry have described veteran musician Willie Mbuende, who died yesterday morning, as a legend, pioneer and a hardworking person.
Mbuende’s death was confirmed by his elder brother, former diplomat Dr Kaire Mbuende, who said he would be buried at Rietfontein in the Omaheke Region next weekend.
The 67-year-old singer died after a short illness.
He was one of Namibia’s veteran musicians with a music career spanning over 40 years. He spent a few years in Germany, Sweden, New York and England before returning to Namibia in 2012.
