Namibia’s mission of claiming glory among the best young athletes at the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) got under way yesterday.
The event, which is being hosted in Nanjing, China, will have 30 Namibian athletes participating.
Yesterday beach volleyball duo Stephanie Palmhert and Kim Seebach played their first match against Italy’s Michela Lantignotti and Irene Enzo.
The Europeans proved too strong for the Namibian lasses as they ran out comfortable winners in straight sets with both going 21-5 in favour of the Italians.
