The former mayor of Walvis Bay King Mandume Muatunga has been transferred to Windhoek after a serious hand injury from a firecracker at his home in Kuisebmond.
According to medical rescue services personnel, Muatunga sustained considerable injuries to his fingers on his left hand after a firecracker he was holding exploded at his home in Kuisebmond on New Year’s Eve. He was stabilised at the coast and then rushed to Windhoek for further treatment.
