The accused in a double murder at a farm in the Kalkrand District of the Hardap Region has denied confessing to the crime and claims he was beaten and forced to sign an incriminating statement
Johannes Eixab further denies he was informed of his right to legal representation before he was forced to make a statement to the police.
In a trial-within-trial in the High Court to determine the admissibility of his confession, he adamantly refuted that he voluntarily made a statement to the police.
