Namibian customs and excise officers at the Ariamsvlei border post between Namibia and South Africa have discovered 10 bags of dagga on a truck carrying building material.
According to the incident report, the discovery took place at around 09:30 on May 24 when two officers inspected the truck.
A consignment of 306 rolls of wire and 600 rolls of wire fences for Kaap Agri [Mariental], valued at N$387 294 was declared, the report states.
However, during physical examination of the goods, 10 bags of dagga were found.
The dagga has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
The value of the dagga is not yet known.
