Why Hage dropped Swapo from State of the Nation

What many people did not notice about President Hage Geingob’s State of the Nation Address on Tuesday was that he only mentioned Swapo once during his entire speech.
Commentators say this is because Geingob has risen above party politics and wants to be inclusive when speaking to the nation.
The only time he referred to Swapo was when he praised the ruling party’s 50/50 gender quota, which had resulted in nearly half of the National Assembly parliamentarians being women.
