A leader of a body that represents former soldiers of the South West African Territory Force (SWATF) and Koevoet, Linus Tobias, has described president-elect Hage Geingob as a unifier.
Commenting on the results of last week’s elections, Tobias said many people voted for Geingob not necessarily because he was a Swapo candidate but because even non-Swapo members recognised him as a leader who would promote national unity.
“People feel that he is a unifier,” said Tobias, who is the regional coordinator of Namvet in the North and was on the candidates’ list of the DTA.
