Voters fume after being turned away

Angry voters had to return home without casting their ballots after they were locked out of polling stations in Katutura.
As polling stations just closed at 21:00 on Friday, frustrated voters were turned away by police officers manning the polling stations, leading to widespread anger.
Kamati Gabriel and few other registered voters were locked out at the Habitat Research and Development Centre polling station in Soweto, Katutura.
They begged the police officer to open the gate, but to no avail.
“I just want to vote,” Gabriel said as he stood outside.
