The High Court will today hear an urgent application to postpone Friday’s general elections until February next year. Among the issues raised in court papers in possession of Namibian Sun is the use of electronic voting machines (EVMs) without a paper trail. The High Court will be asked to declare a section of the Electoral Act, which authorises the Minister of Local and Regional Government Charles Namoloh to suspend the use of the paper trail, as unconstitutional.
