A shack fire claimed the life of a three-year-old boy in Karibib on Wednesday night.
An officer at Karibib fire station, who requested anonymity, said the incident occurred at about 20:00 at Usab settlement.
He also refuted claims that the only person able to drive the fire engine was too intoxicated to do so.
