The offices of the Gobabis Municipality were broken into over the weekend, with the finance department being the main target of the burglary.
The burglary was discovered yesterday morning as staff members of the municipality reported for work.
The break-in also extended to the nearby Uakii Wilderness - a tourism business - as the thieves broke into the restaurant on the premises. They, however, only got away with menial items such as a kettle and some utensils. The main office at the establishment was not targeted.
